Zebra Printer Bluetooth Connection Issues / Printer Visible But Won’t Connect
0 out of 0 found this helpful
Issue
A Zebra printer appears in available Bluetooth devices but will not connect in Tracktile or other devices, even though:
- It may connect successfully to one computer/device
- Other phones/tablets/laptops can detect the printer
- Selecting the printer does nothing / connection fails
- Rebooting the printer does not resolve the issue
Root Cause
In some cases, the printer’s network/Bluetooth parameters become stuck or corrupted, and a standard factory reset does not fully clear Bluetooth/network settings.
A separate network reset is required.
Resolution
Perform a Full Network Reset
Locate the reset button underneath the printer.
Reset Options
- Hold 1–5 seconds: Standard Factory Reset
- Hold 5–10 seconds: Network Parameter Reset (recommended for Bluetooth issues)
For Bluetooth pairing/connection problems, use the 5–10 second network reset.
Reconnection Steps
After network reset:
- Wait for printer to reboot completely
- Open Tracktile on the target device
- Attempt to connect the printer before pairing it with any other apps/devices
- Printer should appear with its default/original Bluetooth name
If Issue Persists
If the printer still will not connect after network reset:
- Confirm no other device is actively paired/connected
- Remove/Forget printer from Bluetooth settings on all nearby devices
- Power cycle printer and tablet/device
- Retry connection in Tracktile
