Configuring Optional Outputs in Recipes
Optimizing recipes to accommodate variable production outcomes can be crucial for managing resources efficiently. By configuring optional outputs in your recipes, you can adapt to changing production needs without overcommitting resources. Here’s how to set this up in Tracktile.
Steps to Configure Optional Outputs
- Navigate to the Recipes Page: Start by going to the Recipes page.
Edit or Create a Recipe: Select a recipe card you wish to modify, or click to create a new recipe.
- Adjust Output Settings: In the output section of your recipe, look for a toggle named “Required.” This toggle is typically activated by default.
Set Outputs as Optional: Deactivate the toggle to make an output optional. This adjustment allows for flexibility depending on the actual production outcomes.
- Save Your Recipe: After making the changes, be sure to save the recipe to apply the updates.
Production Implementation
Production Stage: When the recipe is used in production (navigate to Floor stage > Make Product), outputs set as optional will be clearly marked with an "optional" label.
- Flexibility in Production: You can choose to include these optional outputs only if they are produced, providing flexibility to accommodate additional production capacity without waste.
By allowing for optional outputs in your recipes, you create a more adaptable production environment that can efficiently handle variations in production processes and outputs. This ensures that resources are utilized optimally, enhancing both productivity and sustainability in your operations.
