Managing your inventory effectively starts with a well-organized system for purchase orders. In Tracktile, the Purchase Orders feature not only allows you to create and manage orders but also offers detailed insights into your active and completed transactions. This guide will walk you through all the functionalities and features of the Purchase Orders page.
🗺 Navigating the Purchase Orders Page
When you arrive on the Purchase Orders page, you'll find options to:
- Switch between Active and Completed Orders: This toggles the display between orders that are currently active and those that have been completed.
- Search for Orders: Use this feature to find specific orders by id.
- Sort Orders: Reorder the list of purchase orders based on Due Date, Status, Created at, or Updated at.
In either the Active or Completed sections, you'll see a table with columns:
- ID: The unique identifier for the purchase order.
- Due Date: The date by which the order should be completed.
- Purchase Order Total: The total cost of the order.
📝 Creating a New Purchase Order
Click on the "Create +" Button: A new window appears.
Purchase Order ID: The ID will be assigned automatically based on the code template.
Choose Supplier: Select the supplier from whom you're making the purchase.
Set Dates: Input the date the order was made and the due date for completion.
Choose Currency: Set the currency for the transaction.
Add Items: A table appears where you can:
- Select a Product from the Catalog
- Enter Quantity
- Price Per Unit: This will be automatically sourced from the catalog item settings, whether it's the default or specific to a supplier.
Click "Save Purchase Order": The order will be saved and there will be a new option to add attachments and generate a PO document.
Add Attachments (Optional): You can attach relevant documents.
Click "Save Purchase Order" Again: The new order will now appear in the 'Active' section.
🔍 Viewing Active and Completed Orders
You can easily switch between viewing active and completed orders using the tabs. This is useful for monitoring the status of your orders and for historical data analysis.
