Mastering Palletization
Efficient palletization can significantly enhance your warehouse's organization and streamline the shipping process. Before diving into creating and managing pallets, the initial step involves setting up a pallet ID template to ensure consistency and ease of tracking.
Setting Up a Pallet ID Template
Access Facility Settings: Head over to Facility Settings > General to start setting up your pallet ID template.
Bundle Naming Format: Select a naming format for your pallets. For guidance on creating a code template, check out this link.
Creating a Pallet
After configuring your naming format, it's time to bundle products into pallets:
- Go to the Floor Page: Here you'll find your current inventory.
Select Products to Bundle: Choose the items you want to include in the pallet and click the Bundle button located at the bottom right of the screen.
Bundle Details: On the Bundle screen, verify the stage, container, and quantities you're about to bundle.
Confirm Palletization: Click the Bundle button to finalize. Your new pallet will now appear on the Floor page.
Removing Items from a Pallet
Sometimes, adjustments are necessary. Here's how to remove items from a pallet:
Select Items Within the Pallet: Choose the items you need to remove and click the Move button.
Specify New Location: Choose a stage and container for the items, then confirm by clicking the Move button.
- The items will then be removed from the pallet, allowing for flexibility in managing your inventory.
💡 Tracktile's palletization feature is designed to optimize your storage and shipping efficiency. By carefully configuring your pallet ID template and understanding how to bundle and unbundle items, you can significantly improve warehouse operations and product management.
