Setting Up Pre-Planned Inputs
Navigate to the Planning Tab: Access the Planning tab to begin scheduling your recipes.
Schedule a Recipe: Click on āSchedule a recipeā. Select your desired recipe from the options availableāpreparation, production, or packaging.
Specify Input Sources:
-
By default, all input sources are set to 'any source'. This setting allows the system or the worker (if permitted) to select any available stock.
-
To pre-plan specific sources, click āchoose sourceā next to the input and select the exact inventory code to be used. This ensures that specific batches or qualities of materials are used as required.
Save Your Settings: After specifying your inputs, save the configurations to lock them in for the scheduled production.
Worker Interface and Permissions
-
View Scheduled Recipes: Workers access planned recipes through Floor > Make Product > Planned tab.
-
Interact with Pre-Planned Inputs:
-
If an input source was pre-planned, it will be labeled as such. Workers with 'Choose sources' permission can adjust these pre-planned inputs if necessary.
- Inputs not pre-planned may be auto-filled based on the inventory strategy if auto-fill is enabled in Facility Settings.
-
-
Limited Permissions:
-
If a worker lacks the 'Choose sources' permission, they will see a simplified Make Product screen without the option to alter source selections.
-
Workers without 'Make product configuration' permission cannot modify the recipe execution settings, such as swapping ingredients, adding rework, or tracking waste.
-
Conclusion
By pre-planning input sources for your recipes, you enhance control over production processes and improve consistency in product quality. This approach not only streamlines operations but also aids in effective resource management, making it a crucial strategy for any production facility aiming for operational excellence.
